The “Kaspersky Antispam” module is located in “Security” and the “Mail” menus. This module is designed to scans incoming and outgoing mail messages for spam and sort them according to established parameters. The module has three tabs: “Kaspersky Antispam”, “Settings” and “Log”.
On the “Kaspersky Antispam” tab you can see status of this service and the “Disable” button (or “Enable”, if the module is disabled).
The “Kaspersky Antispam” service is responsible for operation of the Kaspersky Antispam, which scans mail messages. The widget of the “Kaspersky Antispam” service also displays: current version of Kaspersky Antispam and database version, license expiration date and the log for the current date.
Important: by default the “Kaspersky Antispam” service in not configured. To enable it you need to check the box “Scan mail” in the “Settings” tab. The “Kaspersky Antispam” is an optional module. You need to buy a license key to use it.
The “License manager” tab allows to upload licenses and view information about them.
The “Scan mail” checkbox activates scanning of emails.
The “Redirect spam to Junk folder” activates automated spam messages redirection to the selected folder. If this box is not checked the “SPAM” notice will be added to email subject line of those messages determined as spam.
The “Check for antispam bases updates” field allows to set the frequency of antispam database update checks.
The “Scan messages for spam” activates an options that allows to set parameters for detection of spam emails.
Also on the “Settings” tab there is an ability for manually set up of Whitelists and the Blacklists of IP addresses, phrases and email addresses which are contained in emails.
The “Log” tab displays a summary of all system messages of the corresponding services with date and timestamp. The log is divided into pages. Use “forward” and “back” buttons to navigate between pages, or enter the number of the desired page directly.
Log entries are highlighted in color depending on the type of message. Normal system messages are marked in white, system status messages (on / off, user connection) are green, warnings are yellow, errors are red.
In the upper right corner of the log is a search bar. And the ability to select the period for displaying the event log. By default, the log displays events for the current date. If necessary, you can save the log data to a file by clicking the “Export” button or delete the log data for a certain period by clicking the “Delete logs” button.
