Kaspersky Webfilter.

The “Kaspersky Webfilter” module is placed in “Security” menu.

Kaspersky Webfilter checks every website before it’s opened and blocks phishing websites and websites with malicious code.

White checking, webfilter uses cloud “Kaspersky Security Network” service. After checking, webfilter either grants access to website, if it was considered safe, or blocks the website, if it was considered malicious.

The “Kaspersky Webfilter” module has a three tabs: “Kaspersky Webfilter”, “Settings” and “Log”.

On the “Kaspersky Webfilter” tab you can see status of this service and “Disable” button (or “Enable”, if the module is disabled).

The “Kaspersky Webfilter” service is responsible for operation of the Kaspersky Webfilter, which also determines category of a website if corresponding flag in Proxy server settings is checked.

The widget of the “Kaspersky Webfilter” service also displays: current version of Kaspersky Webfilter, license expiration date and log for the current date.

Important: by default the “Kaspersky Webfilter” service in not configured. To enable it you need to check the box “Use in proxy” in the “Settings” tab of current module or to check the box “Use Kaspersky Webfilter” in the “Settings” tab of the “Proxy” module. The “Kaspersky Webfilter” is an optional module. You need to buy license key to use it.

Settings.

On this tab, you can determine the size of cache that will be used for data processing and specify a “Scan timeout” from the cloud service.

For scanning web-traffic going through ICS CUBE proxy server you need to check the box “Use in proxy” after activation of Kaspersky Webfilter license. This checkbox is similar to the “Use Kaspersky Webfilter” checkbox in the “Settings” tab of the “Proxy” module.

The “License manager” tab allows to upload licenses and view information about them.

Log.

The “Log” tab displays a summary of all system messages of the corresponding services with date and timestamp. The log is divided into pages, using the “forward” and “back” buttons it is possible to go from page to page, or enter the number of the desired page directly.

Log entries are highlighted in color depending on the type of message. Normal system messages are marked in white, system status messages (on / off, user connection) are green, warnings are yellow, errors are red.

In the upper right corner of the log is a search bar. And the ability to select the period for displaying the event log. By default, the log displays events for the current date. If necessary, you can save the log data to a file by clicking the “Export” button or delete the log data for a certain period by clicking the “Delete logs” button.
