After choosing “Add”, you will see the number of connections limit settings window. In this window there are the following fields:
You can check which values are acceptable when you place the cursor over the field, or you can choose a value from the drop-down list containing the objects that are already known to ICS CUBE. . There is three ways this rule can be applied depending on the object it is applied to:
Way | Result |
To object | Will be applied to a group or a user. With this way, each group (even if it contains sub-groups in it) will have the connection number limit that is set in the rule. |
For each user | Will be applied to a group or a user. With this way, each user, including users in groups, will have the connection number limit that is set in the rule. |
For each ip | Will be applied to a group or a user. With this way, each IP-address that user has, including users in groups, will have the connection number limit, that is set in the rule. |
If the “limit to ICS” checkbox is marked, the rule will also limit number of connections made to ICS CUBE (for example, access to the ftp or web-interface).
