System log

System log

The “System log” module displays messages about user actions, changes in service statuses, and system errors.

Messages can be filtered by category and date. If you need to display a specific log of one of the modules, select this module from the drop-down list. It is also possible to specify an additional filter, if possible, for the selected module.

In addition, you can filter messages by content. To do this, type in the search bar (upper-right corner) the combination of characters that should be contained in the event, for example, by typing in “Administrator” you will see all messages associated with this user. The filter is case sensitive.

Notification settings

The “Notification settings” tab allows you to configure notifications about the system status.

If you put a flag in the “Send notifications” field, the settings menu for sending notifications will be activated. You can specify the message delivery period in the “Send notifications” field.

You can also select one of the two fields: “Notify about all events” or “Notify about following events”. By selecting the last field, you can configure which events to receive notifications about. You can select the following fields: “System events”, “Service events”, “Errors”, and “Other events”.

“Duplicate syslog messages” field. By setting the flag in this field, you can configure the receipt of logs to an external resource by filling in the corresponding fields: “Syslog server” and “Port”. In order for the changes to be applied, click the “Save” or “Refresh” button.

Notifications to mail

The “Notifications to mail” tab allows you to configure the sending of notifications via email. It contains the following parameters:

“Mailboxes for notifications” - allows you to select one or more mailboxes created in the ICS CUBE mail server or manually register external mail addresses.

You can switch between the ICS CUBE mail server and external SMTP server. In the first case, it is enough to select the sender address from the mail addresses created in the ICS CUBE mail server. In the second one, you need to fill in the “SMTP server”, “Port” and “Sender address” fields. Then enter the login and password for the specified sender's mailbox.

The “Use SSL” flag is used to indicate that data is transmitted over a secure protocol.

After saving the settings, the ICS CUBE establishes test connection with the entered parameters. If the connection is successful, then after a few seconds the connection status will change to “Connection established”.

Notifications to Jabber

The “Notifications to Jabber” tab allows you to configure the sending of notifications via the XMPP protocol (jabber). It contains the following parameters:

“Jabber accounts for notifications” - allows you to select one or more accounts created in the ICS CUBE jabber server, or manually enter external accounts.

You can switch between the ICS CUBE jabber server and external XMPP server. In the first case, you just need to select the sender's account from the ones created in the ICS CUBE. In the second one, you need to fill in the “Jabber server” and “Port” fields. Then enter the login and password for the specified account.

The “Use SSL” flag creates xmmps connection (not supported in the ICS CUBE jabber server).

The “Do not check ssl certificate” flag allows you to work with self-signed certificates using starttls.

If the settings are correct, the connection status will change to “Connection established” after saving.

Notifications to Telegram

The “Notifications to Telegram” tab allows you to configure the sending of notifications via a pre-created bot in the Telegram messenger.

To create a new bot, find the @BotFather user in the messenger, click “Start” and proceed according to the instructions.

The tab contains the following parameters:

“Telegram accounts for notifications” - allows you to enter one or more user telegram accounts. Accounts shall be specified without the initial @ symbol.

“Token” - the token received as a result of creating the bot shall be specified.

The “Use proxy” flag allows you to specify an external proxy server for sending messages. After enabling the flag, you need to fill in the “Server”, “Port”, “Login” and “Password” fields.

If the settings are correct, the connection status will change to “Connection established” after saving.

In order for the bot to send messages, you need to initially send it any message from the specified telegram accounts.

Notifier service

The tab contains the current status of the service. If no sending agents have been created, the service will be in the “not configured” state. This tab also contains the “Disable” button (or “Enable” if the service is disabled) and the latest log entries.

Log

The “Log” tab displays a summary of all system messages in the “Notifier service” module, including the date and time. The log is divided into pages. You can use the “Next” and “Back” buttons to go from page to page, or enter the number of the required page.

The search bar is located in the upper-right corner of the module, as well as the option for selecting the period for displaying the event log. By default, the log displays events as of the current date. If necessary, you can save the log data to a file by clicking the “Export” button or delete the log data for a certain period by clicking the “Delete logs” button.

Important. The “Delete logs” button deletes all logs maintained by the “Notifier service” module.
